Construction fence mesh wraps are the ground-level cousin of scaffold wraps. Where a scaffold wrap covers the vertical face of an active building renovation, a fence wrap covers the perimeter fencing around the construction site, turning the chain-link barrier that pedestrians walk past every day into a building-scale brand statement at sidewalk level. Got a fence? We’ve got the mesh.
Why brands choose fence wraps
Fence wraps own the surface that construction projects already occupy. A construction site exists at the intersection where future commercial value meets present pedestrian traffic, almost by definition, these are high-foot-traffic corners in development-active neighborhoods. The chain-link fence around the site is a passive barrier most projects leave bare. Fence wrap converts that bare barrier into a multi-month brand presence at pedestrian eye level.
The format also fits a price band that’s significantly more accessible than scaffold wraps. A scaffold wrap on a tier-1 corner runs $12,000–$30,000+ per month for a building-face install. A fence wrap on the same corner runs $4,800–$15,000 for the full construction window (3–9 months typical). The visibility per dollar is closer to wheatpaste hero walls than to building-scale OOH.
For developer brands marketing their own projects, for retail brands previewing upcoming locations, for major real-estate launches, and for brand-affinity placements adjacent to development activity, fence wraps deliver multi-month visibility at a surface the construction project has already occupied.
Where fence wraps fit in a wider campaign
Fence wraps complement scaffold wrap advertising for full-perimeter construction-site brand presence, scaffold on the vertical building face, fence wrap on the pedestrian perimeter. The combined install creates a building-and-perimeter brand statement that reads from blocks away (scaffold) and at sidewalk-eye-level (fence).
For developer brands and major real-estate launches, fence wraps anchor the multi-month brand presence during the entire construction window. For retail brands previewing upcoming locations (a brand opening a flagship in the building under construction), the fence wrap acts as the “coming soon” announcement at pedestrian scale.

Frequently asked.
Q · 01 What's the difference between fence mesh wraps and scaffold wraps?
Different surfaces, different install methods. Scaffold wraps cover the vertical face of an active scaffolding structure on a building under renovation, typically 30+ feet tall, attached to safety mesh, installed via scissor lift, multi-month construction-window dwell. Fence mesh wraps cover chain-link perimeter fencing around construction sites or vacant lots, typically 6–10 feet tall, attached with zip ties or panel clips, installed at ground level, multi-week to multi-month dwell. Different scale, different price band, different audience.
Q · 02 Who permissions a fence wrap?
The general contractor managing the construction site, the property owner, or the developer leasing the site. Beyond Street Media maintains working relationships with major GC firms in tier-1 markets. For developer-permissioned campaigns (developer's own brand on the fence), permissioning is internal. For brand campaigns (third-party brand pays for placement on the fence), we negotiate per-site through the GC relationship.
Q · 03 What's the install spec?
Standard fence wrap panels are 6×10 ft or 8×20 ft sections of printed wind-rated mesh vinyl (similar material to scaffold-wrap mesh). Attached to chain-link via heavy-duty zip ties or aluminum panel clips. Standard install runs a two-installer team for 30–60 minutes per panel. Mesh material is wind-load rated for sustained 35+ mph wind (most regions), 50+ mph for coastal storm zones.
Q · 04 How long do they last?
Fence wraps last 3–9 months on most active construction sites, typically removed when construction wraps or the site transitions to next phase. Material is wind-rated for the duration; print fidelity (color, UV stability) holds for the duration. Re-printing for extended duration adds standard print cost; the panel clips and fence remain in place.
Q · 05 How fast can a fence wrap launch?
Seven to fourteen business days from approved artwork to first install, longer than wheatpaste because mesh print runs are larger and more complex. Same-week rush available in NYC and LA when artwork is press-ready and GC permissioning is pre-negotiated.
Q · 06 What does a fence wrap campaign cost?
Campaigns sit in **$4,800-$7,800** for a single-fence install (one 8x20 ft panel section, 1-3 month duration). Mid-tier multi-section installs (4-8 panels at one site) **$15,000-$32,000**. Multi-site campaigns scale to **$80,000-plus** for synchronized installs across 5+ construction sites. Expedited Campaigns add +15 to 200-plus percent over standard for 24-72 hour brief-to-install where GC clearance and mesh inventory align. See /services/expedited-campaigns/. Final quote returns in 24-48 hours. Cost includes mesh print, install, attachment hardware, and end-of-campaign removal.
