What it is

Press to wall

Large-format poster printing produces oversized printed sheets sized for walls, hoardings, scaffolding, and storefront glass instead of desktop or retail frames. Standard guerrilla runs go from 24x36 single sheets up to 48x72 panels that tile into building-side murals. Beyond Street Media prints every campaign in-house on stock built for street conditions, then installs it, so one vendor owns the file from press to paste.

Who it's for
  • You are running a street campaign and want the printer and the install crew to be the same team, with no handoff gap to blame.
  • You have a product drop or event date and need print and install to land on one timeline.
  • You need brand colors held exactly, with a proof confirmed against your Pantone, CMYK, or hex spec before the full run.
  • You are saturating a corridor across many surfaces and want bulk economics on a high-volume run.
Why it works
  1. One vendor, one timeline

BSM owns print production and the install crews, so the press operator and install lead read the same brief and last-minute changes reach both at once.

  2. No finger-pointing

When the same team prints and pastes, a poster that bubbles or drifts off color is on BSM start to finish, not a printer-versus-installer argument.

  3. Stock spec'd to the surface

Blueback blocks bleed-through and absorbs paste evenly for a flat finish on brick and weathered walls. Weather-rated, white-back, and synthetic stocks cover hoardings, glass, and interiors.

  4. Color locked before volume

A color-matched proof is confirmed against your spec before the run commits, which heads off the proof-to-press drift that most often wrecks street print.

The method

How it's made.

Spec stock to the run

Blueback is the default for wheatpaste because it stays opaque on brick, plywood, and weathered walls. Weather-rated stock holds up on long-hold hoardings and scaffold wraps, and white-back or synthetic suits retail glass and interiors.

Two workhorse formats

24x36 single sheets are the unit of street saturation, fast to paste and easy to repeat across a corridor. 48x72 two-up panels read from across the street and anchor high-traffic walls.

Panels sized to the wall

Multi-panel work prints as tiled panels on registered stock so seams vanish when the crew aligns them. BSM sizes panels to the wall, not the wall to the panels, and cuts custom sizes on the brief.

Files and color

Send press-ready PDF or layered files at 150 DPI minimum at final size, CMYK, with quarter-inch bleed on tiled panels, and logos and type as vector so they stay crisp at 48x72. Web-resolution assets get upsampled and proofed by prepress before anything goes to press.

Proof before the run

BSM prints a color-matched proof and confirms it against your Pantone, CMYK, or hex spec before committing volume. Color is locked first because proof-to-press drift is the most common print failure on street campaigns.

Print central, install local

Print stages centrally, ships to crew staging points, and installs locally so national rollouts land in sync across the markets on the brief. Every install is photographed with a GPS-stamped proof shot.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

Q · 01

What is large-format poster printing?

It produces oversized printed sheets sized for walls, hoardings, scaffolding, and storefront glass rather than desktop or retail frames. Standard guerrilla formats run from 24x36 single sheets up to 48x72 panels that tile into building-side murals. BSM prints every campaign in-house, then installs it, so one vendor owns the file from press to wall.

Q · 02

What is blueback poster paper and why does it matter?

Blueback is a blue-coated poster stock built for wheatpaste. The blue backing blocks the surface behind it from bleeding through, so the printed face stays opaque and color-true on brick, plywood, and weathered walls, and it absorbs paste evenly for a flat, bubble-free finish. White-back and synthetic stocks are available for retail glass, interiors, and short-run drops where bleed-through is not a risk.

Q · 03

Do you print and install, or just print?

Both, and that is the point. BSM owns print production and the install crews, so there is no handoff gap where a printer blames the installer for bubbling and the installer blames the printer for off-register color. If the poster fails on the wall, it is on BSM start to finish.

Q · 04

How fast can you turn around a print run?

Three to five business days from approved artwork to printed-and-ready stock for standard runs. National multi-city runs ship to crew staging points on a schedule set per campaign, so print and install land in sync across every market.

Q · 05

Can you match our exact brand colors?

Yes. Send your brand color values as Pantone, CMYK, or hex with a brand standards reference, and BSM proofs against it before the full run. A color-matched proof is confirmed against your spec, then the run commits, because color drift between proof and press is the most common print failure on street campaigns.

Q · 06

What does a print run cost?

Pricing starts at $2,500 and is quoted per campaign, since final cost depends on run quantity and placement scope. For saturation runs across many surfaces in one corridor, bulk economics drop per-poster cost well below single-sheet pricing.
