Poster printing is the production engine behind every street campaign. The poster that hits a wall in SoHo or down the Sunset corridor has to come off a press dialed to brand color, printed on stock that survives weeks of weather, and sized to the exact wall it is going on. Beyond Street Media prints it and installs it in-house. One vendor owns the file from press to paste. Off the press, onto the wall, photographed, proven.
Why print and install together
Most shops only print. BSM prints and pastes. The difference is accountability.
When you split printing and installation, every defect becomes finger-pointing. Poster bubbles. Printer blames the installer’s paste. Installer blames the printer’s stock. Brand eats the delay.
BSM prints, ships, pastes, and photographs every install. One vendor. One timeline. One set of GPS-stamped proof photos. If the poster fails on the wall, there is no one to point at but us. The Lone Fox LA campaign ran 12 panels down Sunset on a single print-to-install timeline, so the color held and the panels aligned because the same team owned both ends.
One vendor also collapses the schedule. Two vendors means two approval queues and a shipping leg where delays compound. One vendor means the press operator and install lead read the same brief. Last-minute changes reach both at once. The install date holds. For campaigns tied to product drops or events, that single timeline is the difference between live on schedule and late.
Stock and formats
We spec stock to the run and surface. Blueback is our default for wheatpaste work. It blocks bleed-through so the printed face stays opaque on brick, plywood, and weathered walls. It absorbs paste evenly for flat, bubble-free finishes. Weather-rated stocks are available for long-hold construction hoardings and scaffold wraps. White-back and synthetic are available for retail glass and interiors.
Two workhorse formats cover most campaigns. 24x36 single sheets are the unit of street saturation: one sheet per surface, fast to paste, easy to repeat across a corridor. 48x72 two-up panels read from across the street and anchor high-traffic walls. Custom panel sizes cut to the wall on the brief.
Multi-panel work prints as tiled panels on registered stock so seams vanish when the crew aligns them on the wall. We size panels to the wall, not the wall to the panels. For saturation runs across 40 surfaces in one corridor, bulk economics drop per-poster cost well below single-sheet pricing. Final pricing depends on run quantity and placement scope. Every campaign is quoted individually.
File specs, color, and turnaround
Send press-ready PDF or layered files at 150 DPI minimum at final print size, CMYK, with quarter-inch bleed on tiled panels. Send brand color values as Pantone, CMYK, or hex with a brand standards reference. We print a color-matched proof and confirm it against your spec before the full run commits. Logos and type should arrive as vector so they stay crisp at 48x72. If you only have web-resolution assets, our prepress team upsamples and proofs before anything goes to press.
Standard turnaround is three to five business days from approved artwork to printed-and-ready stock. Rush print is available in NYC and LA for time-sensitive drops.
Nationwide
We print for all 50 states. Active crews cover 40 named metros including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Nashville, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Portland. Print stages centrally, ships to crew points, installs locally. National rollouts land in sync across every market on the brief.

Frequently asked.
Q · 01 What is large-format poster printing?
Large-format poster printing produces oversized printed sheets sized for walls, hoardings, scaffolding, and storefront glass rather than desktop or retail frames. Standard guerrilla formats run 24x36 single sheets up to 48x72 panels that tile into building-side murals. Beyond Street Media prints every campaign in-house on stock built for street conditions, then installs it. One vendor owns the file from press to wall.
Q · 02 What is blueback poster paper and why does it matter?
Blueback is a blue-coated poster stock built for wheatpaste. The blue backing blocks the surface behind it from bleeding through, so the printed face stays opaque and color-true on brick, plywood, and weathered walls. It also absorbs paste evenly for a flat, bubble-free finish. We default to blueback for paste-up work. White-back and synthetic stocks are available for retail glass, interior installs, and short-run drops where bleed-through is not a risk.
Q · 03 What poster sizes do you print?
The two workhorse formats are 24x36 single sheets and 48x72 two-up panels. We also print 30x40, 40x60, and custom panel sizes that tile into multi-panel runs. The True Religion Houston campaign ran an 18-panel layout across a Midtown wall. The Lone Fox LA campaign ran a 12-panel sequence down the Sunset corridor. We size the panels to the wall, not the wall to the panels.
Q · 04 Do you print and install, or just print?
We do both, and that is the point. Beyond Street Media owns print production and the install crews. One vendor owns the file from press to paste. No handoff gap where a printer blames the installer for bubbling and the installer blames the printer for off-register color. If the poster fails on the wall, it is on us, start to finish.
Q · 05 How fast can you turn around a print run?
Three to five business days from approved artwork to printed-and-ready stock for standard runs. Rush print is available in NYC and LA for time-sensitive drops. National multi-city runs ship to crew staging points on a 1 to 2 week schedule so print and install land in sync.
Q · 06 Will the posters survive outdoors and rain?
Yes. Blueback stock plus our wheatpaste adhesive is built for weeks of outdoor exposure. Paste cures into the paper and the wall, so wind and rain set it harder rather than peeling it. For runs that need to hold through a full season on a construction hoarding, we step up to weather-rated stock and a heavier paste coat. We spec the stock to the run length and the forecast.
Q · 07 What file specs and resolution do you need?
Send press-ready PDF, TIFF, or layered files at 150 DPI minimum at final print size, CMYK, with a quarter-inch bleed on tiled panels. Vector art and brand logos should arrive as vector, not rasterized. If you only have web-resolution assets, our prepress team upsamples and proofs before anything goes to press. We flag low-res files before printing, never after.
Q · 08 Do you handle bulk and high-volume runs?
Yes. Bulk runs are where the economics work. A saturation campaign across 40 surfaces in one corridor, or a national rollout across 12 metros, drops the per-poster cost well below single-sheet pricing. We quote per-run, factoring panel count, stock, and city spread. Bulk poster production is the production engine behind every multi-city campaign we run.
Q · 09 Can you match our exact brand colors?
Yes. Send your brand color values as Pantone, CMYK, or hex with a brand standards reference, and we proof against it before the full run. We print a color-matched proof, confirm against your spec, then commit the run. Color drift between proof and press is the most common print failure on street campaigns, so we lock color before volume printing starts.
Q · 10 Why print and install with one vendor instead of sourcing separately?
Chain of custody. When you source print from one shop and install from another, every defect becomes a finger-pointing exercise and the brand eats the delay. Beyond Street Media prints, ships, pastes, and photographs every install. One accountable vendor, one timeline, one set of GPS-stamped proof photos. The file that leaves our press is the poster on the wall.
